Lots of smiling faces around

Kelly knights loved hosting author Dan Gemeinhart last week. Superfans, who have each read several of Mr. Gemeinhart's books, earned tickets to attend a sneak preview event and an autographed copy of The Midnight Children. It was a day to celebrate reading, writing, and working hard to achieve goals.

Conferences are next week! We look forward to seeing you then. Families of sixth grade students will attend at either 3:30, 4:30, or 5:30 on Monday, March 6th, while families of seventh graders will need to attend on Tuesday, March 7th at 3:30, 4:30, or 5:30.

JO Kelly teachers are learners too! Teachers participate in Instructional Rounds several times throughout the year to see how their colleagues teach and investigate new teaching strategies.

Shining Knights for the Week of February 20-24. Teachers nominated each of these students for their willingness to work hard and take care of others. We're proud of each of them!

One of JO Kelly's great partners is the University of Arkansas! Future teachers attend class at JO Kelly, where they learn teaching strategies, all about early adolescence, and even shadow staff members. Pictured here are two JO Kelly all-stars sharing their expertise with the University students.

We had a wonderful evening meeting our Future Knights!

Save the date! Conferences are coming up. Please make a plan to attend one of the three options for your student's grade level.

Tonight is the night! Future Knights Parent Night includes pizza for the family (while supplies last).

No School Monday!

The after school party is tomorrow. Please communicate with students to ensure they have a ride home if they choose to stay.
