Southwest Cheer Tryout Meeting. Join us to learn what it takes to be a cheerleader at Southwest Jr. High. The location is the SWJH cafeteria on February 21st at 5:30-6:30. Due to inclement weather on Friday, February 3, 2023, Springdale Public Schools will have an AMI (remote teaching and learning) day. All school buildings will be closed.
The track meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, February 6, at 6 PM in the SWJH cafeteria. This meeting is for parents and 7th grade students wanting to participate in track. Practice will begin the following day, February 7.
HTMS will continue to use the 9:00am and 1:00pm Team zooms for students to check in with their teachers. Students should be checking for work in each of their Google Classrooms. We understand not all students are able to connect, due to power outages or lack of internet/computer, so please encourage them to READ. Protected time to read a good book or magazine will benefit them greatly.

Springdale schools will be shifting to Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) Tuesday Jan. 30th. Schools will be closed and students will have the opportunity to work from home. All of our teachers will be available to students through Google Classroom and email. We have sent an email to all of our students with instructions. Please see the attached letter or ask your student to show you their email. Read it with them so they understand what to do. Thank you!

Good evening HTMS families! Tomorrow (Friday 1/20) all 6th grade students will go through BMI screening. In addition, all 6th grade girls will be screened for scoliosis. This annual screening occurs for all 6th grade students and is conducted by the Springdale school district's nursing and health department.

Parents of students that walk to Tennis Courts, on Monday, the city of Springdale will be doing construction work on the Tennis Courts. The parking space and courts will be blocked off. The city said there will be parking space available in the larger parking lot in front of the baseball diamond. Students will need to walk up the length of the slope to the sidewalk, walk around the tennis courts and then towards the baseball parking space. Parents are welcome to use the car rider line, but if you would like you student to walk to the tennis courts to be picked up, please be aware this is happening. We will have an administrator stationed by the hill/side walk to direct students.
