✨ ELD Storytime Fun – The Three Billy Goats Gruff! 🐐🌉
Our kindergartners had a blast in ELD bringing The Three Billy Goats Gruff to life! 🌟 In groups, each student took on the role of a billy goat or the grumpy troll. Using props and key language skills, they acted out the story with confidence and creativity. It was wonderful to see them learning through play! 🎭👏

Our first graders had a blast in the Wonder Lab exploring new hands-on activities! In the Mystery Sound Lab, they made predictions to guess hidden sounds. Engineering stations featured Legos, floam, Play-Doh, and stacking rocks to encourage creativity and problem-solving. And in Stop Motion, students explored cause and effect while designing animated habitats!
Learning through play is the best way to spark curiosity—what a fun day of discovery! #WalkerWildcats #STEM #WonderLab

📚 Report Cards Go Home Today! 🏫
Walker Families, don’t forget to check your child’s backpack for their report card today! 🧑🎓 Along with the report card, some students will also have an Individualized Report of Progress (IRP), which provides helpful insights into your child’s reading development.
What’s included in the IRP:
An IRP considers a student’s results in areas such as phonemic awareness, decoding, encoding, and language comprehension. It may also include information about a student’s alphabet knowledge and sound-symbol recognition.
How it’s used:
An IRP helps support students as they develop their reading skills and is kept in their student folder for reference.
Here are a few tips for reviewing the report card:
1️⃣ Celebrate achievements! Look for areas where your child has excelled.
2️⃣ Identify areas for growth: Pay attention to subjects where they may need extra support.
3️⃣ Keep the conversation positive: Talk with your child about what they did well and areas they want to improve.
4️⃣ Reach out if needed: If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher for more information.
We’re proud of all the progress our Wildcats are making! 🌟
